A campaign is under way to create a special license plate honoring Virginia’s women veterans. The Virginia Department of Veterans Services is spearheading the effort and least 450 pre-applications with $10 or $20 deposits are needed by Jan. 11 to go forward with the request. Those who participate in the pre-application process will have the opportunity to vote on the final license plate design. The Virginia General Assembly can then pass legislation authorizing the new plate.
