Christy Tomlinson Morton received the 2022 President’s Award from the Virginia Economic Developers Association. The Gazette-Journal reports the Gloucester native was vice president of external affairs for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership representing it with the General Assembly, the state administration and the Commonwealth’s congressional delegation. Morton also served as executive director of the Virginia Rural Center. She is now with Two Capitols Consulting.
