Tesla Asks Virginians To Support Bill Loosening Selling Regulations

Electric vehicle maker Tesla is asking Virginians to ask lawmakers to approve a bill that will spare the company from having to go through administrative hearings each time it wants to open a new sales outlet. Under current law Tesla has to go through the process because it sells directly to the public not through dealerships. A bill to change that is before the House Transportation Subcommittee and could get a hearing as early as next Tuesday.
