Personal finance website WalletHub ranks Virginia as the seventh-most educated state in the country. Researchers compiled the list from 18 metrics that examined the key factors of a well-educated population including educational attainment, school quality and achievement gaps between genders and races. Massachusetts tops all states in WalletHub’s rankings with Maryland coming in second and Connecticut ranking third. West Virginia was ranked last among the states followed by Mississippi & Louisiana.
