Internet service provider Breezeline announced construction has been completed on a 150-mile fiber-broadband network that will serve more than 1,400 homes and businesses in Mathews, Caroline, Lancaster and Middlesex counties. The $7.2 million project is partially funded through a Virginia Telecommunication Initiative grant administered by the Department of Housing and Community Development. Breezeline and the counties proviced the rest of the funding. The first homes were connected in May 2022.
