The Mathews County Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve a text amendment to the zoning ordinance regarding family subdivisions in the Rural district. The Gazette-Journal reports the recommendation came after a joint public hearing held last week. The amendment would allow clear interpretation of the regulations related to the required size of the remaining parent parcel after a family subdivision. Supervisors are expected to consider the recommendation during their meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27.
