Power was knocked out Monday morning to around 700 Northern Neck Electric Cooperative members in Northumberland County. According to NNEC spokesman Kyle Allwine service was restored to some members after about an holur but it took almost 12 hours to get all service reconnected. Allwine said the outage was caused by a tree from outside of NNEC’s managed right of way falling on an important line.
The coop thanked restoration crews and the patience of members.
