The water system upgrade in Montross appears to be getting closer and closer to being done. There are a few things that remain to be done. News on the Neck reports over the last few months, the Montross Town Manager has been in near-constant contact with the Virginia Department of Health, who, back on August 18, asked the Town how much more was needed to finish the rest of Route 3, Forest Street, and Carver Street. The estimate, overall, came back to the tune of approximately $3 million and change. This includes things like moving a fire hydrant from the far end of Carver Street to the near and adding another fire hydrant at the end of the line.
