Essex County native and Virginia High School Hall of Famer Cora Jackson-Robinson has been named grand marshal for Essex High School’s 2023 homecoming parade. The Rappahannock Times reports the parade is scheduled to take place in downtown Tappahannock at 5 p.m. on October 13.
Jackson-Robinson (EHS Class of 1973) is a member of the Virginia High School Hall of Fame’s (VHSHF) Class of 2020, and is the only Essex High School alumnus enshrined in that elite institute of athletes, coaches, and contributors.
The Virginia High School Hall of Fame recognizes those who have contributed in outstanding ways to activities programs serving Virginia’s youth.
