New high-tech street lights are coming to the Town of Urbanna. According to the Southside Sentinel the Urbanna Beautification Committee partnered with the Urbanna Town Council to purchase the solar-powered street lights to be installed on Cross Street. The committee got involved when a former councilor objected to the new light’s pole design which was not the same as that on Virginia St. and will pay the extra $14,000 for the redesigned poles.
