Over A Half Million Virginia Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccination

The Virginia Department of Health reports so far nearly 500,000 residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Just over 70,000 have been given the second dose. Officials say progress on vaccine administration is contingent on a steady, predictable supply of doses available to hospitals and other health care providers participating in the vaccination effort. The federal government says Virginia can expect 100,000 doses per week for the forseeable future.
