Applications are now being accepted from residents of Middlesex, Gloucester or Mathews counties for 2 scholarships offered by the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District, through the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts. According to the Southside Sentinel the $1,000 scholarships are for students majoring in, or showing a strong desire to major in, a course curriculum related to natural resource conservation and/or environmental studies.
Applications are due March 22.
