Officials with the Virginia Department of Transportation are sending a strict message to residents. The department says people should not drive around or move those big and bright “Road Closed” signs or barriers. Often, they are attached to orange cones and are in place to keep you safe from a hazard that is ahead of the signs. Officials say you can call 5-1-1 for updated road conditions or download the V-DOT 5-1-1 app for up-to-the-minute information.
