Northumberland County Public Schools officials announced Monday they were informed of two COVID-19 cases that affected Northumberland Elementary School and Northumberland Middle School. The individuals were last on school premises Monday, March 1 and had close contacts with students, teachers, and staff. The Three Rivers Health District is investigating these cases and under their guidance two middle school students, one middle school employee, eleven elementary school students and six elementary school employees are now quarantined.
