Now that the IRS and Virginia have both extended tax filing deadlines until May 17 the Middle Peninsula TaxAide group is offering additional appointments. The Gazette Journal reports the Gloucester Public Library will begin taking appointments Mondays and Saturdays on April 24 and will continue until May 10. Mathews Memorial Library will take appointments on Fridays until April 16. Call 804-654-1407 for appointments at either library. Tax-preparation packets need to be picked up from the library and filled out prior to an appointment.
