The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors experienced a case of sticker shock when the bids came in for the Whiting Creek parking and bulkhead project. According to the Southside Sentinel the lowest bid came in at just over $70,000, around $20,000 more than the board allocated. As a result the project will have to be shelved until the new budget year which is when the extra money can be earmarked.
