Northumberland County is conducting a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste collection event on May 1 at the Northumberland Middle/High School bus lot from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Rappahannock Record reports the event is open only to Northumberland County residents and property owners and will be socially distanced meaning items should be placed in the trunk or other location where no contact can occur. Excluded itms include tires, car batteries, radioactive materials. medical waste, expired medications, ammunition and explosives.
