New guidance on reopening schools is out from a workgroup appointed by Virginia’s Superintendent of Public Instruction. The group called “Virginia LEARNS” released a report called “Navigating Virginia Education in Uncertain Times” and among its recommendations are that schools need to pay attention to vulnerable populations and prepare for the impacts on the social-emotional well-being of many students and staff from the move to all virutal learning.
