Lancaster County BOS Continues Budget Work

Lancaster County residents may be paying more in personal property taxes under the Board of Supervisor’s proposed 2021-2022 budget. The Rappahannock Record reports a number of projects were added to the capital improvement plan including repairs to the administration building roof, replacing the courthouse’s air handling system and a $630,000 expansion of the sheriff’s office. The board is holding a public hearing on the county budget and tax rates at the April 29 meeting.
