Urbanna water customers will soon be asked to complete a survey which will help the utility qualify for federal grants. Urbanna Town Councilor Bill Smith tells the Southside Sentinel it’s important that customers respond to the survey because the additional grant money will not only pay for upgrades but could also lower the town’s debt which would mean potentially reducing service bills. The survey will take place as soon as the town’s grant application is approved.
