The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office reports their first-ever Drug Takeback Day event this past weekend results in nearly 13 pounds of unwanted and expired medication being safely destroyed. Thanks were given to the Middle Peninsula Northern Neck Community Services Board for providing education, drug lockboxes and gunlocks free to all those who wanted them. A medication disposal dropox will soon be available at the Sheriff’s Office lobby in Saluda from a donation made by Christopher Newport University.
