The Kilmarnock Town Council is beginning work on the 2022 budget and lawmakers may have more money to work with than in years past. According to the Rappahannock Record there’s been a 1% increase in revenue streams with a sizeable raise in sales tax and utility income. The Council is also looking at raising the meals tax by 1%. The projected budget is just over $2.9 million.
