The Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors proclaims the week of May 16-22 as “Emergency Medical Services Week”. It recognizes the vital public services being performed and how it has provided important, out of hospital care including precentative medicine, follow-up care and access to telemedine. EMS teams take thousands of hours of training to enhance their lifesaving skills. The Board encourages the community to observe the week through programs, ceremonies and activities.
