The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution praising the work of many organizations in the aftermath of the May 3 EF2 tornado. According to the Northumberland Echo 99th District Delagate Margaret Ransone presented a flag that flew over the capitol to representatives of Northern Neck Electric Cooperative and 4th District Senator Ryan McDougle also praised the cooperative’s work. The storm packed winds of up to 120 milkes an hour and ripped at least 1 home from its foundation.
