A Middlesex County workforce housing project is now at a standstill after the county was forced to return federal grant funding. According to the Southside Sentinel the project behind the Cooks Corner Office Complex was suspended because it was being paid for through a grant to build a brewpub on the old Rappahannock Central Elementary School grounds at Cooks Corner. The county was unable to find a developer willking to take that project.
