MPAAGHS Hosting Talk On Preservation Of African-American Spaces

The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society is holding a virtual meeting on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. that will feature a talk by the Reverend Dr. J. Elisha Burke entitled, “SACRED SPACES: Preservation of African American Churches, Cemeteries, Historic Structures, Associated Land and Landmarks.” SACRED SPACES is an initiative of the Baptist General Convention of Virginia which is creating a digital archive documenting 120-plus years of history.
