Back-To-School Mask Policy To Be Unveiled This Week

Kids going back-to-school this fall will find out later this week whether or not they will have to wear a mask. Virginia’s existing mandatory mask mandate ends this week and Governor Ralph Northam is expected to announce the new policy based on current CDC guidance. That calls for masks only for unvaccinated students and staff members, ages 2 and older. Northam’s office says just over one-third of student eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine haven’t received the shot.
