Virginia Health Care Organizations Urging People to be Vaccinated Against COVID-19

More than two dozen Virginia health care organizations have issued a joint statement to strongly encourage unvaccinated Virginians to get the shot. It cites Virginia Department of Health data showing that since late January the vast majority of Virginia’s COVID-19 cases , hospitalizations and deaths have occurred among people who have not been vaccinated. The statement says getting vaccinated offers protection to those who have been inoculated as well as the people around them in their personal and professional lives.
