The Town of Tappahannock receives $10,000 from Virginia’s Main Street Grants program which supports projects aimed at revitalizing historic commercial districts, expanding small businesses, and growing local economies. The town will use the money to support a high-priority, high-impact project that will be identified in the future through design services. A total of 16 community development projects received grants totalling over $200,000. According to Gov. Ralph Northam’s office the projects will leverage close to a half-million dollars in local and other non-state resources.
