Gloucester County Stabbing Suspect Takes Plea Deal

The suspect in a Christmas Day 2020 Gloucester County stabbing takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say Michael Bess of Newport News pleaded guilty to malicious wounding in the incident that happened at an Allison Road home. Police found the victim suffered wounds to both upper arms but the injuries were non life threatening. Bess was taken into custody about 2 weeks after the stabbing and pleaded guilty on Monday. He will be sentenced in October.
