Mark your calendar for Aug. 7 as that’s the day when the Gloucester County Emergency Management Department holds a Preparedness Expo at the Gloucester Home Depot. Emergency Management Coordinator Brett Major says they encourage residents to attend and make sure they have everything needed to withstand a severe weather event. The Expo coincides with Virginia’s sales tax holiday weekend. It runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
