Fiscal year 2021 was a good one for Virginia’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority. The agency reported gross revenues of $1.4 billion which is over $160 million more than in 2020. It’s the third time the ABC has had over a billion dollars in annual sales. Earnings topped $615 million with over $235 million of that coming from retail sales profits. State law requires the agency to remit earnings for designated programs and services.
