Virginia Department of Energy Chief Deputy Jennifer Palestrant received a national award for her work in education programs and training for young professionals entering the offshore wind workforce. The Talent Management Leadership award from the Business Network for Offshore Wind was given at a .November event. Palestrant is the first to lead the agency’s offshore wind program. Virginia is now considered a hub for the industry on the East Coast.
