Fundraiser To Be Held For Gloucester Woman Recovering From Car Accident

A fundraiser is set for May 2 to help a Gloucester woman recovering from an auto accident last July. According to the Gazette-Journal Sylvia Monroe was driving to her job at a Kilmarnock bank when she swerved to avoid a stopped truck with a trailer. Monroe severely injured her left arm and suffered a concussion. She’s had 7 surgeries with 1 more remaining. The fundraiser is at Richardson’s Cafe in Mathews.
