Special Unemployment Assistance Extended

Special unemployment assistance is being extended for those hit hard by COVID-19. The Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation assistance extension starts this coming Tuesday at 4:00-p.m. Those who wish to participate and are eligible for the PEUC can sign up starting Tuesday afternoon. The Virginia Employment Commission has the details at VEC-dot-Virginia-dot-Gov.

House Advances Paid Leave Bill For Essential Workers
