The Lancaster County Democratic Committee will host its annual Labor Day Picnic from 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 4, at the Masonic Lodge, 1434 Good Luck Road, Kilmarnock. The Rappahannock Record reports John Q. Smith, a candidate for Delegate in District 67, and Jolicia Ward, a candidate for Senate in District 25, are expected to attend.

Toddler Drowns In Greenvale Creek

A toddler drowned in the Greenvale Creek area of Lancaster County recently. Lancaster Emergency Services and other authorities responded to the call after the two-year-old girl had fallen off a dock into the creek. She was unresponsive at the scene when CPR was administered. Governor announces new jobless numbers

Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced an increase of nearly 18,000 more employed Virginians in July, bringing the total to 219,452 more Virginians employed since January 2022. Shooting under investigation

The Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office says on Saturday, August 19th, Northumberland 911 received multiple calls for a shooting in the Lillian area of Northumberland County.
